Not a lot going on today. I did get my new tripod and remote in the mail, but didn’t set everything up to get any real pictures. I got a few snapshots of the boys. Here’s silly Treyton. Logan and Owen were quite inventive tonight and built steps. They took different sizes, boxes, laundry baskets, whatever they could find and built 6 steps up to Logan’s bed. That kept them entertained for a long time! Treyton even had fun going on the “steps.”

My Little Picasso
Logan had today off from school for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He went over to Griffin’s house for a play date. They had a lot of fun. While he was gone Owen had a blast painting some lovely pictures!! I wasn’t aware that a single piece of paper could hold so much paint – but Owen really tested it! He was also curious how he ended up with brown paint – as he didn’t have any brown paint to start with!

More Basketball
Logan had his second game today. The other team was quite aggressive – they liked to get pretty physical! But Logan had fun and their team won again – so he was happy! Bocca and Papa came up to watch him play today too!

Uncle Gordon
Uncle Gordon. What more can I say?! The boys love their uncle Gordon. He is a lot of fun. I think Uncle Gordon was a little jealous of all the boys’ toys – especially the light sabers. He did have fun playing with them. Logan and Owen love when Uncle Gordon comes down – he’s the ultimate play date!
Maternity Shoot
I did my first maternity photo shoot tonight! I was really happy with how the photos came out – of course it helps to have a gorgeous model! These are of my sister-in-law Melissa who is due in March!

Portraits!
Today I got my lighting set in the mail. I was able to take some Christmas money to get it. It was a bear to set-up but I did it! I still have no clue how to use it, but I was able to snap some portraits with it! The above picture isn’t actually using the lights, but I thought it would be fun to show the stuff and I needed cute models in there! They are supposed to look excited! :)
Here are the portraits I took – we had to put Treyton in his Bumbo seat to get him to stay put!
Treyton’s Tricks
Treyton was showing off today and I finally got some of his newest “tricks” on video!! Enjoy!

The Third Child

Another challenge for ADSR. Title of the challenge: “Art & Soul.” We had to do a layout with artsy elements and also have some meaningful journaling. I did this one of Treyton. My journaling reads:
It has to be very difficult being the third child sometimes. You get hand-me-down clothes, used furniture, and your “firsts” may not seem as monumental to everyone else. But if you ever feel down or insignificant because you are the third born, let me reassure you - you are so absolutely incredible. You are one of a kind, unique and special. You may have been my third pregnancy, but when you kicked in my belly for the first time - I was just as excited as when Logan did it. When you smiled at me for the first time it melted my heart like it was the first time any baby had ever smiled at me. When you started crawling - I couldn’t contain my excitement! Each step and milestone you accomplish mean the world to me. I am always grabbing my camera to make sure I capture all of your firsts ! Always remember how much I love you and how special you are!

Pizza!
Tonight we ordered pizza and Daddy decided to make his own chicken alfredo pizza. He happened to have some extra dough and Logan and Owen had so much fun “making” pizzas!
Owen had fun rolling the dough and he was also a very good model for me!
Here Logan was showing off his pizza skills. He was showing me how he could twirl the dough in the air and catch it!
After they rolled the dough out they decided to add some toppings. They told us they were putting pepperoni on it. We did not know where they were getting pepperoni – turns out it was Cheez-Its! Logan was getting upset with Owen because he kept eating the all the “pepperoni!”
And last, but not least just a shot of Treyton being cute in his high chair while he was eating his pizza!
Scrapbooking

I don’t normally post much about my scrapbooking on this blog, but I’ve been working on some layouts lately and wanted to share! I’m participating in the Amazing Digiscrapping Race 4. (aka ADSR-4) It is based off of the show the Amazing Race and there are 13 sites that participate. You have to find each challenge and complete it within the time frame to move on. For this challenge we had to find one of our first layouts and revamp it to show the skills and techniques we’ve learned since starting out. I found my first layout – created 3 years ago! I can’t believe it’s already been that long. It was right after I discovered digital scrapbooking and also right after Owen was born. The only requirements for this challenge were to use all the pictures from the original (no more/no less) and to use all of the words and text that were on the original layout. I was really happy with how my new layout turned out and it was also fun to look back at some of my original layouts!

No More Pictures!
Well I’ve lost my most cooperative model! I was trying to take some photos of him tonight and he was not having it! He kept sticking his foot up so it would be in front of his face. I’d move the camera – he’d move the foot! Then he started putting his hands up! Good thing Owen is being more cooperative about photos!
