We Are Walking!!

Oh my has it been a long time. I don't even remember my last post. We had a wonderful Christmas! But I need to back up a bit!! Owen started walking!! He had been taking steps here and there, but on Thursday, December 15, 2006 he really took off! The next day we went up to Kansas City. He walked all the way across my grandparents living room! We got to see our friends Brian and Alexa on Friday night and the boys had a fun time at their house, especially chasing around their cats, Boomer and Colby. The next day was the Gebauer family Christmas. There were a ton of people and it was loud and fun as always! Logan loved having so many kids to play with. He just went and went and went. Owen went down for a nap in the basement bedroom right before everyone came down for present opening. It was so loud, but Owen slept like a log through the entire thing!! We left to head home that evening and Logan fell asleep within minutes of being in the car!! He really wore himself out. Owen also learned to say ball that day as well. It is his favorite word!!

December 20, Owen had his Parents as Teachers visit and one year evaluation. She said Owen is doing great. She was very impressed with the things he could do like stack 2 blocks, put clothespins in a bottle and dump them out, as well as drawing with her pencil!! She wasn't even going to ask if he was scribbling yet since she thought he was too young, so she was impressed with that!

On December 23, I was going to take a picture of Owen and all of a sudden when I pointed the camera at him he said "deeeee!" He was saying cheese. He did it everytime I pointed the camera at him. It progressed into "deeeze" also and he'd smile! It was too cute!!! One thing he has been doing lately is coloring. Anytime he has a color he will color with it. He has been doing that probably about a month.

Decmeber 24, we went to Bolivar for Christmas Eve. We went over to my aunt Brenda's house. We had a lovely dinner of seafood, and Logan and Hunter were very excited to open presents! They had a lot of fun, but the biggest suprise was when Santa showed up!! It was completely unexpected, but the kids were glad to see him. Even Logan who is scared of Santa gave him a hug when he left!!

December 25, Merry Christmas!!! Logan woke up and saw that Santa had eaten the cookies and drank the milk we laid out for him. He was also very excited to see all the present Santa brought!! He had a very good time opening them up. He seemed to play the most with one of Owen's presents and Owen played the most with one of Logan's - go figure!! After opening and playing with our presnets, we went to Joplin. It was a long day!! We started out at the farm, then went to Grandma and Grandpa Gray's, then to Grandma and Grandpa Hildreth's, and lastly to Papa Bob's!! And of course the kids got presents at all four places!!! Let's just say the car was packed full!!

December 26, I finally got the toys put away and the house clean!! I didn't think I'd be able to find a place for all those toys!

Well that is all I can think of right now!! I did get a Canon Rebel from my parents for Christmas - well I just placed the order tonight! So hopefully I can take some fantastic photos once I get it!!
