Face Painting

Tonight we went to McAllister's to eat dinner. Tuesdays are kids nights (gotta love those!) The McAllister's we usually go to has a magician who gives out balloon animals to the kids. We didn't go to that one this time as we were closer to another. I didn't even realize the others had events like that. This one had a face painter! She did such a fabulous job too. Logan and Owen both wanted spider webs and spiders on them. Treyton just watched! We also took the boys to Bass Pro afterwards. They LOVE going there and seeing all the fish, waterfalls, turtles and ducks. Treyton was really enjoying himself. I took him out of the cart and stood him up so he could be leaning against the giant fish tank. He just kept looking and was very excited. He got pretty vocal when we went downstairs and saw the ducks. I think he was trying to talk to them!

Uh-Oh Spaghetti-O!

Tonight we had pasta. Treyton really got into his spaghetti!

Some Video Fun

I took a lot of video tonight - hope you enjoy!!!

We'll start off with some walking video! The shortest video ever!

And here Treyton is throwing quite a fit - and he is evidentally quite upset with Lightning McQueen!

Here is Logan working on one of his books:

Now Owen gets a turn:

And the finale! This afternoon we were riding bikes. Logan and I were riding and Jerrod and Owen and Treyton were riding. Owen is quite slow, so we end up in 2 groups. While Logan and I were riding a car was coming up behind us. I told Logan there was a car so he got over to the side of the road and waited. There was a police officer coming the other way towards us. After the one car passed, the police started to go forward. They ended up stopping and rolling down their window. They talked to Logan and told him he did such a good job! They said he was so good wearing his helmet and yielding for that other car. Then they asked him if he liked stickers. He said he did and they gave him a junior officer badge for being so good! Here he is telling the story:

Treyton's First Birthday Offering!

Today Treyton went to the front at church and gave his first birthday offering. Everyone sang happy birthday to him too! I'm sure he had no idea what was going on and this meant a lot more to Mommy, but it was still special!

Katelyn's Birthday Party!

Today we went to Katelyn's first birthday party. Of course I realized once we were already on the way that I forgot my camera! I can't believe it! My mind has been a tad off lately! I did take pictures there, just not with my camera! I'll have to see if my cousin Josh or my mom have any good shots of the kiddos from the party! Katelyn got a purple tricycle for her birthday that Owen just LOVED! He rode it all over the restaurant. (Don't worry the restaurant wasn't open to the public!) Katelyn and Treyton were playing really well together it was soo cute! Of course the precious twins were there too, but my throat had been hurting and I didn't want to chance getting the boys' sick so I didn't get to hold any babies. On the plus side, Owen seemed back to normal. I wonder if it was just a reaction to his flu vaccine or just a small bug.

Sick Day

Tonight we had made plans to have dinner with some friends. Owen had taken a really long nap, and when he woke up he felt very warm. Poor guy had over 102 temperature. Needless to say we didn't go anywhere tonight. Logan and Treyton went outside for a little bit, and Owen was upset he couldn't go play too. He was like "I'm not sick anymore." It was so sad! I played with him inside and I think he forgot about the others. Luckily they weren't out long. I do not think I took any pictures at all! Can you believe it! I'm really slacking!

On a happier note:
Happy First Birthday Katelyn!!

He's Walking and a Soccer Game!

Well Treyton is walking. It's official. Well maybe not totally official, but he took a lot of steps in a row today several times - so I'm calling it! Now even though it is all official I was bad and didn't get any good shots or video! I will work on that.

Logan also had a soccer game tonight. He wasn't quite as into it as he has been in the past. Maybe because it was at 7:45? Who knows - he finally got into it near the end and kicked the ball and tried for a goal. I got some pre-game stretching and Logan's post game wrap-up on video!

1 Year Check-Up!

Today was Treyton's one year check-up. That year flew by way too fast! Treyton weighs 22 and a half pounds! Everything looked great and he is a healthy boy! They were out of one of the shots that he needed to get so he will get that on his 15 month check-up. That meant he only had 2 shots today. The bad news is at his 15 months check-up he will be getting 4 shots. Poor guy. :( They also took pricked his finger to test for lead levels. He was not pleased with that. He didn't do too bad during the initial prick, he whimpered some, but I got him calmed down pretty quickly. He was really upset, however, that she wouldn't let go of his finger. He started getting pretty mad about that - I finally was able to distract him and he stopped crying and she said the blood came a lot faster when he was relaxed. He got his shots after that, so needless to say he was not a happy camper. Dr. Meyer had asked about flu vaccines. Treyton has to get the shot, but it's a bit to early for that still. However the flu mist vaccine has a longer period and was able to be given right away. You have to be over 2 to get it, and since Owen was with me, he asked if we wanted to go ahead and do his. It doesn't hurt, but they said some kids don't like it because it goes up their nose. I was busy with Treyton while they started Owen. They had already done one side and I didn't even notice! She told him to sniff in like he was smelling flowers or cookies and he did! He did soo good and didn't make a peep. He was pretty excited that he got "medicine in his nose!" Logan was at preschool when we went, but he will have his appointment coming up soon. I am sure he will get that vaccine then.

September 23

I honestly do not know what happened this day! I am actually writing this post on October 2, desperately trying to get caught up! I am guessing nothing major occurred, but I do have some random pictures I took. Oh I think I may actually remember! I am pretty sure this is the evening I cleaned out the car! It was in desperate need of it! I cleaned the whole thing out, pulled out the rugs, vacuumed everything, then shampooed the floor rugs as well! I think we had a yogurt spill and possibly some milk - so it was not looking or smelling to good in there! Jerrod then did all the dashboards. It looked so nice when we were finished!

Happy Birthday Tretyon!

My baby turned 1 today! I cannot believe it. Where on earth has this year gone? It seems time is going faster and faster! Tonight we all took Treyton to Red Robin for his birthday dinner. He loved the balloons! They came and sang to him and brought him a sundae! He really liked that! I let him dig into the whipped cream with his fingers!

Treyton had a fun time with his three balloons in the car! Today was also the first day he was in his new carseat facing forward! I think he really enjoys the new view!

After dinner, Jerrod took Logan to soccer practice and my mom, Owen, Treyton and I went shopping for a bit. When we all got home, Treyton opened his presnets from Mommy and Daddy. We got him this little 4 wheeler power wheels - which he LOVES, but he doesn't ride it - he pushes it! We also got him a little stuffed monkey - he started making monkey sounds as soon as he got it! I got him this Fisher-Price farm toy and a learning turtle. Treyton also got his first taste of whole milk! He wasn't really a fan! I think it might be because it was cold. We'll try to mix his bottles part milk/part formula until he gets used to it. I was going to try to get some one year portraits, but he was pretty tired and cranky by that point! He took 2 steps today! Hopefully he'll be walking before long!

Recycle!!

Today Jerrod was throwing out a popsicle box. He starts to throw it away and Logan says "Dad don't throw that out we can put it in the recycle box at school!" Logan has been studying recycling at school. I thought this was so impressive of him! Jerrod decides to ask him some questions. He asked Logan if he knew what recycling was. He said it was a green box with three arrows on it. Jerrod then asked him what happens to the box after it is full. Logan told him, the garbage man comes and takes it away! He may not totally have the entire concept down, but I think it is great that they are learning about recycling and being so aware at such a young age! One day last week, Logan told me they went for a walk and picked up trash around the school. The classes went for walks around the school and picked up all the litter. Then they got back to the classroom and sorted the items that were to be recycled as well as the garbage. Tomorrow we are supposed to send some items for the children to sort through and recycle also. Jerrod already set out that popsicle box for him!

Treyton's Party!

Today was Treyton's first birthday party!! We had some friends and family over to our house for a fun jungle party! The kids had fun playing in the backyard on the swingset and in a bounce castle that we borrowed from our neighbors. Treyton had a really good time and loved his cupcake! Although the icing actually broke out his skin! Luckily that didn't last long though. After his first cupcake, Papa Gray snuck him a second mini cupcake! I think he made a good friend! One good thing about throwing a birthday party at your house, is that the bathtub is right there! After Treyton's cake we threw him in the tub and rinsed him off! Then it was in to a new outfit for some present opening! He got a lot of nice things and Logan and Owen were pretty excited about the presents too! Owen wandered off with a couple of Treyton's new cars! We are so thankful for everyone that got to come and share in Treyton's special day with us! We are truly blessed to have such great friends and family - and as I've said many times on this blog - I am soo thankful for our neighborhood. Probably half of our guest list was neighbors - and we are so thankful for all of them! I have a lot of pictures and a video, so I hope you enjoy!

Here is a shot of the cake and cupcakes I made for Treyton's party:

Treyton didn't seem overly interested when we first set the cupcake in front of him! He also isn't sure what Logan and Owen are doing blowing out the candle!

Here is a video of everyone singing happy birthday to Treyton and him starting on his cake. I didn't realize until I watched this video that Treyton is choking at the end! Don't worry though - he was fine!

Some shots of Treyton really getting into his cake!

Treyton really enjoyed his bath after the cake, and actually threw a fit when he had to get out!

Then it was present time!

Crazy Bad Hair Day!

Today was "Crazy Bad Hair Day" at Logan's preschool. We have been looking forward to it for a while now! Our neighbor Griffin is in Logan's class, so we went over to his house before school and had a fun time getting both boys ready! Logan originally wanted red hair, but after Griffin wanted an assortment of colors, Logan wanted it too. It was a lot of fun and the boys definitely had crazy bad hair! Owen had to have his done too, and well I just couldn't leave Treyton out!

School Picture Day

Wow it has been a LONG time since I've written! I'm going to attempt to go back and play catch up - although I don't know if I'll remember anything!! That was actually why I started the blog! I usually mean to write things down - important things in the kids lives, so I don't forget! Sometimes I will put things off for a day or so thinking I'll still remember - but I forget soo quickly!! Today was picture day at Logan's school. He looked very handsome. We took some practice shots before he left so he could practice his smile! I also haven't taken many pictures lately! I need to get on the ball! Tomorrow is crazy bad hair day! I'll definitely have pictures then!

Dat-t (Daddy)

This evening before church we went to a customer appreciation bbq given by Jerrod's bank. It was at a nice country club and had some really good food. The boys had a great time. This is probably because they each had 2 cookies and brownies! After dinner we went to church. Our preacher announced he had been called to preach at another church in Indiana. I know this is what the Lord has called upon him to do, but he and his family will be sorely missed.

Once again I didn't take any pictures. I did want to talk about the above image. I cannot remember what day this was, but it was within the last couple of weeks. I found this paper. I had asked Logan about it and realized he had spelled "daddy." He said it's wrong though. I told him that was okay that he did a great job sounding out the word. He literally spelled out "Dat - T" which is how he says it and wrote it out! This was his first time spelling and writing out a word all by himself! I cannot belive how fast that kid is growing!

Soccer Time

Logan had his second soccer game tonight. This time Jerrod took him and Owen so I could do some cleaning. I sent my camera with Jerrod to take some pictures and video. He took 1 picture and one video for me. Apparentely Owen was not being very well behaved so he spent most of the game chasing him. I think Logan had a pretty good game though. Here is a video of Logan being goalie and stopping a ball. You can also catch Owen walking around!

Crazy Days...

Today was definitely a crazy day. I had a bunch of errands I needed to run to start getting ready for Treyton's birthday party - which I realized yesterday is less than a week away! After I picked up Logan from school I figured I'd run the errands - with all the boys. I rarely go anywhere with all three kids by myself. I really have no clue how single mothers do it! It wasn't a total nightmare, but it definitely wasn't stress free! I did end up going to 3 stores and the mall. Then I picked up dinner and got home in time for Logan to hop in Jerrod's truck and go to soccer practice! I did not even take a single picture today!

Lazy Days...

Today we didn't do much. I hadn't felt good in the morning and so we mainly just hung around the house the whole day. I took a few pictures of the boys, but there really isn't much to write!

The Twins!

We went to visit the twins today! I know they were very good sized for twins, but they seemed soo tiny! It took me a long time to be able to tell who was who, and I'm not 100% sure I could still do it! I didn't really get many photos - the boys were very content warm and snuggled, and were not interested in naked baby portraits! I did get quite a few feet shots though - baby feet are just too adorable! After we visited the babies we went over to my parents and visited and had dinner.

Some pictures of Max snoozing away!

Sweet little Ben!

A Budding Artist

This afternoon, Logan was outside and picked a three leaf clover. He brought it inside and said he wanted to draw it. He got a piece of paper and a green crayon. He put the clover down next to his paper and drew his picture. Now I know I'm his mom, but I was really impressed! It's amazing how he used to scribble and now he is actualyl drawing! He drew a great picture once of Jerrod and him in a canoe with water and all. Of course the picture got ruined before I could scrap it :(. He has also been drawing volcano's lately. I need to get one of those scanned too!

Friday!

It feels like it has been such a long week! So glad it is the weekend! Logan rode his bike after school again while his brothers napped. Then in the evening we just hung out outside with some of our neighbors and had a nice relaxing evening. Not much else went on! I tried to get some pictures of Treyton in his monkey costume so I could get some invitations out for his party, but well that didn't work out too well!! Hopefully I can photoshop something together!

Who is this kid?!

Logan had his first soccer game tonight. This past spring when he played, he didn't really play too much. He had fun running on the field, but did not grasp the concept of soccer. He had his first practice on Monday. I have no clue what happened, but tonight he was playing soccer like a pro! Well maybe not a pro, but he was fantastic!! He was in the game, he was getting the ball, he was running with the ball and even attempting a goal. I was just shocked! He was a regular little soccer star! And he was also having the best time!
