New Trick and One More Pic!

Photobucket
One more thing I wanted to note. Since about Monday, Treyton has been sitting up by himself! He starts on his tummy, then gets onto his knees, then his feet (his new "V" position) then slides his feet under and gets to be sitting up! I'll try to either video or get a collection of photos with him doing it soon! Also I had some fun taking some more pictures of him tonight so I thought I'd share one! Enjoy!

Not Much Happening....

Well, there really isn't anything new going on right now. Logan's at school right now and Treyton and Owen are napping. I think I may join them! Treyton and I had a little photo shoot today. I want to try to get all three boys in a good picture - so far that has been a pretty tough task to accomplish!!

A day in Joplin

Today we went to Joplin for Grandpa Bob's 75th Birthday - Happy Birthday! We hadn't been up there in a while. First we stopped by Papa and Grandma Gray's house and the boys had so much fun playing with the foam rocket's they had! They also had fun playing in the toy room and with Princess. But this was only the start of our day! We then went to visit Grandma Rose. The boys had a fun time playing on her balcony. They loved being out there and ringing the bells she had too! After that visit we went to Grandma Purdy's house for Papa Bob's birthday party. It was a very full house!! And there were 5 mobile boys who had a blast playing!! Treyton got lots of love and attention of course - and for a baby who likes to be held this is always good! By the end of the night Owen and Treyton were absolutely exhausted - Owen always takes one very long nap and Treyton usually takes at least 2 naps - well neither one slept all day!! All three boys crashed in the car on the way home!

Treyton's Face

Treyton has a new face he makes all the time. He does this with his lip. I think it is soo adorable!! He reminds me of a character in a Dr. Seuss book! :)

Sunshine Day!

It was such a beautiful day today!! The kids played outside in the backyard for a bit, but it just isn't as exciting to them as the front yard!! So they had some fun!

I love that top picture of Owen! It is just soo dramatic! Owen had fun riding his tricycle. He doesn't ever even actually touch the pedals, but hey it's fun for him!

Logan loves riding his "big boy bike." He is allowed to go from the side walk between our driveway and our next door neighbors drive way.
Last but not least we have Treyton! We went for a welk with him in the sling facing out and he had a blast! He laughed on more than one occasion! Then I plopped him in the grass to take some pictures with my new lens! He really liked the wind blowing in his hair!! I also got some funny face shots too. He was not sure what to think of the grass though!

Treyton's New Trick

Well having mastered getting up on all fours and rocking Treyton thought it was time to try something new! He's quite pleased with his new trick and does it often! We haven't had too much going on. I got a new lens for my camera and I'm so excited - of course it's been raining so I haven't had much time to play. Tuesday it was storming and hailing! Logan was pretty excited about that. His tot ball practice and soccer games were both cancelled though. I'll have to update with more stuff later!

Lean, Mean, Jumping Machine!

Well I got some video of Mr. Treyton jumping. This will be my first time attempting to put video in the blog so I hope it works out! If it doesn't at least you have these cute pictures to look at! He loves to jump in his jumperoo and gets soooo excited - especially if he's getting attention while he's jumping!

Sleepy Time

I was going to try to upload video tonight or at least some pics of Treyton in his Jumperoo. But it's late and I was working on some layouts and now I'm too tired to do the video so I figured I'd post this layout I made as it is fitting to my mood at the moment! I actually took these pictures when Treyton had his 6 month check-up. All my boys are very sleepy after their shots! He looked so precious sleeping and I couldn't wait to scrap it!
*Just a side note - this is the layout I made today using yesterdays park picture!

At the Park!

Today we all went to Bolivar. Jerrod is working on refinishing my parents kitchen cabinets and we went with him. My mom and I took the kids to the park. They had a lot of fun and I played around with my camera! I took over 150 pictures in the park. I only had time to play with one set of Logan's but I will be back with more of the other kids and probably some scrapbook pages!

Painting, Movie Night & a Tantrum

I missed a couple of days so I'm sort of playing catch up here!

Painting
We spent Wednesday and Thursday painting. This is particularly frustrating considering our house is only 10 months old! FYI if you are building a house - flat paint and 3 boys don't mix! So we bought paint and painted. Of course it took a lot longer than we planned and I ended up finishing the job 5;30 am Friday! I had to stay up because we had company coming and well I'm sort of a tad of a perfectionist about things like that! Logan wanted to paint soooooo badly the entire time. Finally on Thursday night Jerrod let him help a bit. He had fun.

A Tantrum

Honestly I'm not even sure why he is throwing this tantrum. I'm not even 100% sure I knew what it was about when I took the picture. Owen is 2. These are quite commonplace now! And I've learned to just ignore them, or as in this case photograph them! Two year old tantrums are quite an interesting thing to watch. I would love to know what is actually going on in their little heads. Everything is fine. One tiny little thing doesn't go quite right. The whole body is suddenly hurled to the floor and the wailing begins. Something else comes up they are as happy as can be and going about their normal day as if nothing ever happened....fascinating!

*Edited to add, I remembered what this particular fit was about. Dad had given him a little bit of rootbeer (mom was not happy!); he wanted more, he was told no.... the rest is tantrum history!

Movie Night
Well of course while we're painting we need to come up with ways to keep the kids out of the way. They did play outside but it started getting cold and dark, so we needed a new plan. We rented a movie. They start out fairly interested...

....then we decide to goof around.
...then they leave. (I'm pretty sure this whole process lasted under 10 minutes!)

Up on All Fours!

Up on all fours...

.....and soooo happy about it!!!!!

Treyton's latest feet is getting up on all fours. He's no where near going anywhere, but he loves to get up and rock back and forth. It usually ends with him sort of lunging forward and falling flat! He's very happy with his new trick!!

All 3 Boys!

My mom was asking when I was going to put a pic of all three boys in the blog. Clearly she has not ever attempted to take a picture of all three boys! I did get this one shot I liked about a month ago - keep in mind this is 1 shot of like 100 taken!! Hopefully someday before they are grown we can get another group shot!

Count Your Blessings

It is so easy to get down on the little things in life. To overreact over something small or get stressed out over things that really aren't that important. It seems we don't take time to count our blessings. I know God has blessed my life tremendously and I also know I am so unworthy of all these blessings. I am so grateful for all that he has done for me. I got to thinking about this topic when I heard some news about one of my highschoool classmates. Jenni Bayless has a son who is just a tad younger than Treyton. Her son, Granton, is suffering from an immune diffiencey disorder. Their little 6 month old is fighting for his life. One thing I have loved through reading their blog is their incredible faith. They are so strong and putting it all in God's hands. There's no better place to put it! I still can't imagine what they must be going through and it reminds me of how blessed I am to have three healthy happy boys. Hopefully the next time they are fighting, screaming, throwing tantrums, and what not I can just pause for a minute and remember what a blessing it all really is. Please keep baby Granton and his parents in your prayers. http://grantonbayless.blogspot.com/

Logan's Busy Day...

Logan had a very very busy day today!! It started out with preschool. After preschool at 5:00 he had his first tot ball practice!! He has been asking all year when t-ball was going to start again so I'm sure he is going to have a lot of fun. I on the other hand wasn't ready for the fact that soccer and totball season overlap! I guess it's just a glimpse into my future when all my boys are in sports!!

After tot-ball practice we came home breifly then got Logan ready to go take his soccer pics. It went fine, but it was FREEZING!! Then after pictures Logan had a soccer game!! Needless to say he fell asleep pretty fast!! He had a long fun day! I took Owen and Treyton to the pictures Owen was very tired and cold. We were going to stay for the game, but it had gotten so cold that I took the little guys to get some food and come home.

Just a side note Owen is spending his third night in his big boy bed!!

Another Photo Shoot

As I am learning photography these kids are going to have to get used to having their pictures taken constantly!! Something I'm sure the grandparents won't mind! Probably my model most of the time will be Treyton - seeing as he's the only who isn't mobile so I can plop him wherever I need! :) Tonight we had fun with his overalls and I knew before he got too big I needed to take a picture of him in the dump truck! I wanted to take the dump truck pictures outside but it just won't warm up! Maybe later on we can do that!! And yes Treyton does have the same gorgeous blue eyes that his brothers do!!

Big Boy Bed!

Well last night (Sunday), Owen came into the living room and was saying something to me about an orange bed or something. I wasn't totally sure what he was wanting. So I asked him if he wanted to sleep in his big boy bed. He said yes. So we went in there and I tucked him in. I didn't think it would last and expected him to walk out of there as soon as I left. Well I went in the other room for a minute then went back in to check on him and he was out like a light!! He slept in there all night long!! Today I first put him in there for his nap, but then he came and told me he wanted the crib. So he took his nap there. But tonight he started out again with Logan, but started whimpering, so I asked him - do you want to go to your big boy bed again? He said yes. This time Logan was still awake and didn't want Owen to leave him, but I told Logan that Owen wanted to be a big boy and sleep in his own bed. So I take Owen in there and tuck him in and never heard another peep out of either of them. Both sound asleep very quickly! I don't know if this is going to be an on-going thing - but I hope so!

You Funny?? Mad???

I wanted to share a funny thing Owen does now. Apparently people can only be funny or mad. Somestimes if I'm upset with the boys this conversation will take place:
Owen: Mommy you mad?
Mommy: Yes I'm mad.
Owen: So you not funny?
Mommy: No I'm not funny.
Owen: Am I Funny? Is Logan Funny?
Now sometimes nothing is going on at all and Owen will just start up this conversation:
Owen: You mad mommy?
Mommy: No I'm not mad, Owen.
Owen: So you funny?
Mommy: Yes I'm funny
Owen Smiles.
Not sure how this all started, but it is quite amusing!

6 Month Check-Up!

Treyton went in for his 6 month check up today! He weighs 17 pounds and 4 ounces and is the 40th percentile for weight. He was also 27 1/4 inches long and in the 60th percentile for height. His head circumference was 17 inches and is in the 25th percentile. His numbers are pretty much how Logan's always were when he was a baby. He is doing really well and was showing Dr. Meyer how he could sit up so big and kept trying to grab his charts! Unfortunately he had to get two shots today and one oral vaccine. He wasn't too sure about the taste of the oral vaccine, but he did get it down. He just sort of had a confused look on his face the whole time! He did cry when she poked him with the first and second shots but almost immediately stopped after it was finished! He's such a tough little guy! He usually doesn't have any bad reactions to shots so hopefully this will be the same. He was a sleepy boy though and slept most of the afternoon!

Let's Go To the Movies!

Tonight Logan went to the movie theatre for the very first time! It was a special trip for just Logan and Mommy. We went and saw Horton Hears a Who! It was a fun movie and it was a great time to go as the movie has been playing for a while so the theatre was practically empty! I think Logan's favorite part of the movies was probably getting the blue icee! He did have a fun time! He did pretty good, but did start getting a tad restless at the end!!

Silver Dollar City

Wednesday Jerrod took off a day of work and we all went to Silver Dollar City. It was freezing, but that also meant no lines! Owen and I rode the flying elephants three times through! Logan and Owen has a blast and Logan is already asking when we get to go back. Owen had such fun and we let him walk most the day and you could tell as the day got longer the slower Owen walked! We went into a show near the end of the day and he literally fell asleep sitting up! Poor guy - we drove straight from Branson to church and he was out like a light the whole time!! Treyton on the other hand had been in his car seat or napping most of the day so he had fun sitting up and playing during church! I am glad that we have season passes for Silver Dollar City I think the boys are going to have a lot of fun this summer!
**Edited to add: I remembered a funny story about Treyton! On the way up to Branson Treyton just started laughing. We have no clue why but he just kept giggling. We looked back there and neither Logan or Treyton was even looking at him. He did have the hiccups so we figured he must have though they were pretty funny. He did this for a good 5-10 minutes so it had Jerrod and me pretty cracked up. He did it briefly on the way home too without hiccups. Guess he likes the Branson trip!

Learning Photography - My New Interest!!

I tend to have a lot of different interests - hmmmm.....where on Earth does that come from??? (*cough-dad-cough*) I have been having a lot of fun learning new things about photography. There is certainly a lot to learn and there are pros and cons. The cons are I'm not sure what I'm doing and I'm not doing so well!!! The pros are I have some knowledge of photoshop and an awesome mentor who does know what she is doing that I am able to salvage my not so great shots and turn them into something I LOVE!! Hopefully as I progress I will get to spend less time editing in photoshop adjusting lighting and so forth, but I will say I am happy with what I've learned so far and I am soo anxious to learn more. And I will say it is nice to be able to take the kids pics here at the house then lugging the whole family to the Picture People - who I love, but it's always quite the stressful event!!

6 Months

Treyton is growing up sooo fast!!! I cannot believe he is already 6 months old. He is sitting up, laughing, playing, and just being adorable!! He loves to eat, and so far he eats: rice cereal, oatmeal, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, and applesauce! There hasn't been a baby food yet he wouldn't eat - much like Owen! We went for a walk tonight and Owen and Treyton rode in the wagon while Logan rode his bike. It was Treyton's first ride in the wagon adn he seemed to enjoy himself! Logan and Owen are great big brothers and very good at making Treyton laugh. He's pretty amused by his older brothers!

Ummmm...Been a While!!!!

Let's see the last time I wrote I didn't even know if I was having a boy or a girl!! Well needless to say it was a boy and he is now 6 months old! We moved into a new house which we love in a super friendly neighborhood. Logan started preschool, Owen started acting two! Treyton is a doll! He just started getting up on all fours which is soo fun to watch! I am soo busy working at digitalscrapbookplace.com and trying to learn photography too. Jerrod is busy at the bank and the boys are busy well being boys! I'll try to keep this updated more regularly in the future!!!
