Camp Out...

Sort of! Jerrod, Logan and Owen are camping out in the backyard tonight. Logan was very excited - I think Owen is a little nervous.

Camping Update:
{11:30 pm}
Owen has returned inside! He is scared of outside.
{11:37 pm} Owen went back to the tent. He wants to sleep outside.
{12:35 am} It started lightning and a storm was heading in, so we brought the boys in. They were both fast asleep by this point and didn't even wake up during the transfer from the tent to their beds! They may be confused in the morning!

Speaking of the storm is now very strong with a lot of thunder and lightning so I will have to add pictures and finish editing this post tomorrow :)

Also this afternoon Logan took Treyton for a wagon ride - it was so cute!

Photobucket

The boys also played outside with the neighbors. Logan was riding in our neighbors powerwheels Jeep and there was this cute little girl close to his age over there as well. He stops the Jeep and asks her, "You wanna get in?" She replies, "yes," and gets in the Jeep and they went cruising! It was too funny. I didn't think I would have to worry about this type of behavior so early!

One other funny comment from Logan. We got a spoon that lights up in a cereal box. There is an on/off button which is very hard to push. It took me quite some time to get it turned on. Logan was trying to turn it off.

Logan: Dad why did Jesus make this button so hard to turn off?
Dad: Logan, Jesus didn't make that spoon.
Logan: Yes he did! Mommy said Jesus made everything!

Logan

Well I had posts with the other two boys so I couldn't leave Logan out! Here is a layout I did about Logan:

Our Day...

Just sharing our day with you!

The boys played outside in their pool again - they had a blast. Later we went outside and they got to play with the neighbor kids. We played on their swingset again - they LOVE it! They also had fun riding in the "pirate ship" and hunting for "treasure." I got a lot of great photos of Treyton in the grass. One I was working with on a scrapbook page and really liked how it came out. It's like he's saying "Look Mommy - grass!" It really is the little things in life!

Photobucket

One funny comment for you. I was sitting in my office working and I overhear Logan ask Jerrod the following comment, "why'd you guys get so many kids from the hospital?!" What a hoot!

Owen

Just sharing a picture I got of Owen today peeking his head in the back door!

New Pool!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Logan and Owen had the BEST time today in their new pool! They were very excited to play in it and even though the water was cold they stayed out for quite some time! We got this one because it is more of a mat with water coming up and I figured Treyton could also play with it when it warms up just a bit more!

Tonight Jerrod had a work party. His dad and Kathy came down to watch the boys while we went. It was the first time the two of use have been out without the kids in ... I honestly don't know! It's been well over a year though. So it was nice to get out just the 2 of us. It was a nice party - a luau theme complete with lei's and all! I'll be sure to post a picture once I get it! When we got home Logan, Owen and Grandma Gray were off in their spaceship exploring and going on missions. Owen and Papa Gray were hanging out and having fun crawling around. The boys had a great time! Thanks Papa and Grandma!

Random Thoughts...

Photobucket
Not a lot happened today. The kids played outside some - they LOVE that. I''m so glad that the weather is nice and they are able to go out a lot. And I love that our neighborhood is so open and friendly too! They have a lot of other friends to play with. Treyton's tooth is coming in - I'm still figuring out the best way to get a picture of it! Owen's eyes are better but he has been coughing a lot more! Logan had fun with his friend Camron at church. They have apparently been going on "secret missions" or as Owen calls them "Squeakret Missions!" We bought a little baby pool thing for all the kids to play in - even Treyton! So once I get them in that I'll try to get some shots up! Jerrod was disappointed that they chose that over the cooler slip and slide! I had this photo of Treyton from this afternoon and loved how dramatic it looked black and white!

The tongue!

Treyton always has his tongue hanging out lately! It cracks us up! Here's another picture of the famous tongue!

Family Pictures...

...By Logan!

Photobucket

These are some pictures Logan drew for me. After he drew some great pictures of him and his teachers, I asked for a family picture. The first one he drew was of me and him. He also threw the word CAT on there for good measure! I said that I loved the picture and wanted a picture of all of us together. He was sort of burnt out on coloring by that point but I finally got a family picture! I've asked him to explain how he draws people. He draws the head, the eyes, hair (mostly only if he's drawing girls), then the neck, tummy, legs and feet. He often leaves out arms, noses and mouths. However he is getting more detailed with the eyes. I thought he was drawing glasses, but he said that outside circle was the eyes, the inside circle was the colored part. Then he was studying my eye and said oh you have another part and he drew a dot in the middle to be a pupil. Pretty observant!

Swollen Eye

Photobucket
Well it is the end of Memorial Day Weekend. We didn't do a whole lot this weekend. Last night after church Jerrod took Logan and they went to see Indian Jones at the drive-in. They had a really good time. Owen and I watched Dumbo here :). Today Jerrod took Logan and Owen to Bolivar to work on my parents cabinets and Treyton and I stayed here. I did some cleaning but overall pretty boring day! Treyton is still crawling all over the place and pulling up like it's nothing! When the boys got back I noticed Owen's eyes were swollen. They were both swollen, but the left one was by far the worst. I am not sure what happened. It's possible he is allergic to cats. I gave him some medicine, and we're just going to have to keep an eye on him.

Growing Up...

Photobucket

Owen is getting so big. Today he did something that made me sad. And while it is a good thing developmentally it is also a sign that he is getting bigger. Owen could not say the "L" sound at the end of words. He replaced it with an "R" sound. So School would be "Skoor" or Careful would be "Carefur" and Apple would be "Apper." Well today he asked for an "Apple" we were suprised that he said it correctly and asked him to say Pool and he said "pool." So again while this is a good thing I will miss his cute little words. I know I went through the same thing with Logan. He used to call bananas "banymanas" and it was too cute. And one day he asked me for a "banana" and I felt sad! Well that is my little Owen milestone for the day.

Also today (Saturday) we went over to one of our neighbor's houses and played with their kids on the swingset . Owen and Logan had a blast and as you can tell Owen really enjoyed the swing!!

New Lens!

Well I got another new lens today - a portrait lens! Hopefully I will be able to get some great shots of the boys and it will help out tremendously with the wedding coming up! Here are some shots I took today when I first got it:

New Tooth!

One other thing I noticed today (Friday - I know technically as I am writing this it's Saturday but I haven't been to bed yet!) Treyton's first tooth is coming in!! It has just broken through the gum. I'll try to get a photo allthough it is pretty hard to see right now - but you can feel it! It's very sharp! He is growing up soo fast!!

Haircut and Presents!

Photobucket

I have been wanting to make something special to give to Logan's teachers the last day of school. And yes that was Thursday! I had been working on these small albums for them. We were supposed to take them to his teachers today (Friday), but had some problems. I stayed up all Thursday night and finished making the layouts. But wouldn't you know that my printer decided to take that opportunitiy to quit working!! So I wasn't able to print them. I called though and will be taking Logan on Tuesday to give them to Miss Pat and Miss Vickie. They will be there working on their classrooms and other end of the year stuff. Anyways I sent the layouts to Kinko's to be printed and was very pleased with how they came out! Then I had to cut them out and paste them in the board books. I am really happy with how they came out and I hope Miss Pat and Miss Vickie like them!

Photobucket

I went tonight to get my hair done! It has been soo long - I got it cut and highlighted! I love it! Jerrod took the boys to the park while I was getting my hair done - and I gave him a camera and told him to take pictures - but he forgot and left the camera in the car. (I'm not 100% convinced that he "accidentally" forgot it!) So I don't have pictures from the park!

Last Day Of School!

Photobucket

Today was Logan's last day of preschool. I can't believe the year is already over. I can remember dropping him off on his first day. He had talked about going to school for so long and he was sooo excited to go that day. He kept wanting to go. We got there and he was ready to go to his classroom. He had fun looking around. Then he started realizing we were going to be leaving soon and he started getting a little more clingy. Then the rest of the class started showing up (Logan didn't start preschool at the beginning of the year like the others he didn't start until October) and he got very nervous. When it was time for Jerrod and me to leave he was clinging to me and crying saying "don't leave me! Don't leave me!" It was heartbreaking. I knew the best thing for the teachers would be for us to go, but I did hug him a bit longer and told him to have a good day and I would be back in just a bit. That first day Miss Pat told me was pretty rough for him. The second day he was on the floor crying saying he wasn't going to go to school! Jerrod got him to school and he was crying when Jerrod left. However, when I picked him up that day Miss Pat told me he stopped crying after a couple minutes and was great the rest of the day. After that it was all great! Now he absolutely LOVES school. He gets so exctied when we tell him it's time for school. I'm sure he'll miss it over the summer and I know he will miss Miss Pat and Miss Vickie. Logan was so lucky to have two fantastic teachers. They have done such a fabulous job and Logan has learned so much and made some great friends. When I picked him up I also got a folder full of his work from the school year. It was so great to look at and to see how he advanced through the year! Miss Pat and Miss Vickie finally got him to draw his "g's" the correct way! He had some troubles with that! I'd like to say a big thanks to Miss Pat and Miss Vickie for a fabulous year! Logan will not be in their class next year, but he will be right next door and be able to see Miss Pat and Miss Vickie still! :)

Here are some shots of Logan on his first day of school! (And yes he had a black eye!)

PhotobucketAnd this is my sad little guy right before we left - doesn't that just break your heart?!

Home Movies!

Well I have been playing with taking movies on the camera instead of the video camera to see if it is easier to post here and I think it is! So check out my experiments!

Talking to Dad
I just thought it was cute watching Logan talk to Jerrod on the phone - he's growing up so fast!

The Tongue
Right before I shot this Treyton was laughing like crazy! Of course he stopped doing that when I decided to film it. But it is very cute and you can see that tongue that he always has sticking out now!

Future Singing Super Star?
Ummm not likely- but cute to watch!!

My Big Boy

Photobucket

Isn't he getting so big?! He is now crawling all over the house and is getting so good at pulling up! Not too much is going on here - Jerrod got home tonight - yay! Owen's eyes are looking red and he also has a pretty bad diaper rash as well. We are trying to get that cleared up. I can't believe Logan's last day of preschool is tomorrow!

Bike Day!

Well first off I went to the doctor this morning and she said it looked like I have pink eye. I also have an upper respitory infection. Luckily I already had eye drops I was putting in so that has helped a lot. I also started an oral antibiotic today.

Today at Logan's school was bike day. The kids got to bring their bikes and they rode them outside. They also bbq'd hotdogs and the kids had a blast. It is so hard to believe his first year of preschool is almost over!

Photobucket

*Note Logan and his friend were trying to ride close togheter - they got a little too close and Logan toppled over. I caught him mid-fall. He was okay and hopped right back up and kept on riding!

Photobucket

After preschool we went out to eat with Bocca. I'm so glad she was able to come and help out! Jerrod won't be home until tomorrow so I'm on my own for now. I had to take Logan to get his t-ball pictures taken tonight too. Hopefully they come out cute!

I noticed Owen's eye was starting to get red and goopy, so unfortunatly I think this thing is going around. At bedtime tonight I cleaned his eye, and put some medicine in it. He was great! I know it would have been a nightmare to try to do something to Logan's eye! He did keep trying to rub it though and I know it is highly contagious so I had to rememdy the situation by giving him a little guaze patch - suprisingly he handled this well too!

Photobucket

Treyton is pulling up all the time time now! He is growing soo fast! He also gets really excited when he pulls up now too. It was funny this afternoon he just kept giggling - even when nothing was going on! He has the funniest laugh too - I'll try to catch it on video!

One last note - Logan got a puzzle today - it was a 24 piece one that didn't have a board. He was doing quite well, and was confused on a couple pieces - I tried to explain to him that sometimes it's easier if you find all the edge pieces first and put them together. He told me "well if you just put it where it goes then it won't be hard." Ahh four-year-old logic!

More Tot Ball!

Photobucket

Jerrod had to go out of town today for work and will be gone until Wedesday. This afternoon I took Owen to the doctor. He has been coughing for a couple weeks now. We thought it was just a bug but it won't go away! Dr. Meyer said his lungs were clear and everything checked out okay. It is possible he just had back to back colds. He said it could be allergies. Or it could just be with the amount of pollen in the air even without allergies it could have him coughing. So we picked him up some Zyrtec and are supposed to try it for a few days.

My mom came up shortly after we got home and then we all went to Logan's tot-ball game. He did very well! He hit the ball really well both times. And he caught the ball again when he was playing outfield.

Photobucket Will the ball ever come to me? Photobucket

This is a really cute shot of Bocca with Owen and Treyton. Treyton was trying very hard to get those sunglasses and he did! You can see his tongue - he always has that thing out now!

Photobucket

After the game we went out to eat - food wasn't too great, but they took care of our meal and gave us a gift certificate to come back so I guess we'll be trying them again! After dinner I ran into a couple stores, then we picked up some ice cream. Logan had been very good all day actually they all had so we had a treat. I am still feeling icky and my throat is getting quite sore, so I have a doctor's appointment set up in the morning. My eye is still red, but looking alot better.

The Wish Bone

Sunday I wasn't feeling so well. My eye was still bothering me and I had a sore throat as well. So I rested most of the day. At one point in the day Logan came into my room and we had the following conversation:

Logan: Mom do you wish for anything?
Me: what?
Logan: Do you wish for anything!?
Me: you mean like food? (I thought he was asking if I was needing anything!)
Logan: NO! Do you wish for anything

Then he procedes to tell me how there is a wish bone and you pull it and you can get whatever you want! So I told him I wished to feel better. Well apparently Jerrod had been smoking some cornish game hens and that is where the wish bone was. It is so small that he broke it so Logan couldn't make a wish. Now Logan comes up with a new plan. "We can just ask God because God does whatever we say." Jerrod told him that wasn't exactly how it works. We can pray for things to God but that doesn't always mean it happens. So now instead of praying for Mommy to feel better, Logan prayed for more chickens so he could get more wishbones to make the wish!

Slip and Slide
Jerrod has been wanting to get the boys a slip and slide since last summer. Well apparently he went to the store and bought one. So all the boys (and yes this includes Jerrod) decided to test it out. It was NOT hot out either! Owen didn't stay long he was freezing. Anywyas here's a couple slip and slide pics!!

Busy Day

It was a busy day today! We started off with Logan's preschool class picnic. He had fun playing with his friends and then we watched the little ones who were graduating have their little ceremony. It was the cutest thing. They had the caps and even got diplomas with graduation pictures in it! {We had to leave right after the ceremony and I only got one picture of Logan!} After we left the picnic Treyton and I drove to Bolivar to see the church for the wedding I am shooting. I took some test shots. I'm soo nervous about doing this and hope I do a good job!! After that we went to the bridal shower. It was fun and Treyton kept everyone entertained!! I breifly stopped by to see my parents and my dad said my eye was red. I figured it was just from their cats, but on the way up it was getting more sore. Right now it is soo sore. It hurts to close it - so it hurts everytime I blink! It is so red and has the crusty and eye goop stuff like Treytons - (aren't you glad I"m sharing all the detail?!) So I think I must have gotten Treyton's eye thing! Logan and Owen played outside for a while today and had fun hanging out with Dad! Well that's our busy day! I am going to go put some medicine on my eye and rest!

Here is a picture I took of Treyton when we got home. He is fasinated with the grass and has a new thing where his tongue is constantly out!

Photobucket

He Did It!

Treyton pulled himself up today!! He crawled over to the couch, put his hands up on it and pulled himself to a standing position! He is getting soo big! I tried to get him to do it again, but he kept getting distracted and didn't make it back to the couch so I don't have a picture! Actually I didn't take a single picture today!!! Can you believe it?! Luckily I had a picture I took of Treyton a couple of days ago in his jumperoo that I didn't post so you get to see something!!

Sooo Close......

Treyton is getting soo close to pulling himself up. If it is something low then he can do it. I was laying on the ground on my side and he was able to push up from me. He tried to do it on a little block and got started, but couldn't quite get all the way up! I've got a set of pictures of his attempt at the bottom of this post!

Logan had preschool today. I decided to go in to pick him up today and let Owen go in as he's asked a lot. (Usually one of his teachers brings him out so I don't have to get both kids out and the stroller and everything else - they are very thoughtful!) Owen loved Logan's classroom. Just walked in like he owned the place. They had 2 baby chicks and of course Owen found trains! The other kids were petting Treyton on the head! I can't believe Logan only has 2 days left of school! I'm a little sad myself that he will be leaving - Miss Pat and Miss Vickie are fantastic teachers! I've heard great things about his next year teachers as well though.

I've also been doing some more photo experimenting, just playing with settings and what not. I was taking some pictures and Treyton started getting fussy and started crying, so of course I needed to capture that on film! But when I went to take his picture he stopped crying and just gave me this look:

Photobucket

I was also playing around in Logan's room with some settings. I took this picture in his room in the dark with some settings my gracious mentor told me to use!

Table For Two...

Photobucket

No it isn't as it sounds. Jerrod and I didn't get a romantic dinner out just the two of us! However, after church Owen said he wanted "Chweddars" and I agreed. Logan and Jerrod did not, so what happened? Jerrod dropped me and Owen off at Cheddars! We had such a nice dinner just Mommy and Owen. We sat under the fans - he was soo polite and the waitress was just an absolute doll back to him. He spotted shadows on the wall, and she made shadow bunnies on our table! Owen sat by me and was as sweet as pie. He sang the abc's 3 times. {Everytime he finished singing he said "let's do that again!"} He sang "Old MacDonald" and made animal sounds. He made a million observations and enjoyed his "lemlonade." Logan and Jerrod went to Wal-Mart and shopped and got Icee's. They had eaten before church. And the timing was just perfect. We walked out the door and I turned and saw them pulling into the parking lot. It is nice to do special things with the children individually and we really need to plan it more often too.

I got some new camera stuff today! Unfortunately with Treyton now crawling I lost my model. It was soo easy to plop him down and experiment with the camera now all my children are mobile and it is hard to get a shot!! I did manage to get some good shots of Logan and Owen though! Treyton crawled everytime I tried to take a picture so suprisingly he's not in these shots!

Now I Know My A...B...C's

Treyton Crawls

Sore Eye :(

Poor Treyton has a sore eye. Yesterday morning, he woke up with gunk all in his right eye and there was so much he couldn't open it. We got it wiped down and put some medicine in it. Well this morning he woke up and his right eye was back to normal - but he left eye is now all gunked up! So it got the same routine as the right eye and hopefully it is as good as new tomorrow! Not much else is going on right now. Logan just told me he was doctoring Owen - those two always crack me up. The other day Logan told me he was going to be a farmer and Owen was going to be a sheep so he could "farm him." Oh my! Well I am glad that they are such good playmates though and have so much fun playing together! Treyton is calling so I better go check on the little guy! :)

Tot Ball!

Photobucket

Logan had his first tot-ball game tonight. Things have been go go go here lately! Soccer just ending last week and tot-ball season is already in full swing! Logan did pretty well! Last year when he played he did great at hitting, but didn't really pay attention when he was in the field. His coach last year said he was one of the best players - when he applied himself! Well that was just about every other time - he loved playing in the dirt and eating snacks more! Tonight his hitting was a little rough - he hit the tee, but he did get the ball hit. This time when he was in the field, he actually caught the ball a few times and threw it very well to first base! We played in the dirt some and at one point he was turning some circles, but hey he is only 4 :) Owen and Treyton were very good, but they did go to the car early. The game was supposed to start at 7 and we had to be there at 6:30, well the game before us ran very late so we didn't get finished til 8:30 and by that point the sun had started going down, the wind picked up and it was FREEZING!! Below are some pictures I took of Treyton and Owen at the game and one of Logan running.
