KC Christmas

Today we went up to KC for my family Christmas. It was great seeing everyone. It is a big family, so it's always a fun and loud get together! Logan was excited to play with his other cousins and mentioned that he made new friends here! He didn't know their names, but they were his friends! After they played for a while, the kids opened up a couple of gifts from family.

After that, a very special visitor arrived!!

When it was Owen's turn, he was still nervous about Santa. He ran up, grabbed his presnt and ran back to me! I led him back up so he could talk to Santa and tell him what he wanted. Santa asked him what he would like for Christmas. Owen replied, "I want coal for Christmas!" Oh my! It was amusing though! I love this shot I got of them talking!

Logan is an old pro at seeing Santa now!

Treyton wasn't nervous about Santa this time. He just had fun checking him out!

After Santa left we ate, and visited some more. The party started winding down. We were originally going to stay the night, but Owen was wanting to leave and was starting to cough pretty badly. Jerrod really wanted to sleep in his own bed after being gone so long, and I was totally up for that too. Non of the kids had napped and it just seemed a lot easier this way. Owen crashed immediately! Logan was a little while later. Treyton, the one we thought would be out in a flash was not! He stayed up the first hour of the trip. He started getting upset and I put the boys' headphones on him, and he thought that was pretty funny! Granted the amount of time it took to take this picture was probably the length of time he had them on total, but it was still a good distraction. He finally passed out. Of course about 15 minutes after that, Logan woke up upset and had to go to the bathroom. This of course would be when we were no where near one! Jerrod pulled over on a country road and let Logan get out. This in turn woke up the other 2. So after that we had 3 kids crying in the car. They did eventually all go back to sleep! We got them home and everyone went to bed! It was a long day, but a fun one!
