The Gray Family: New Year's Eve!

Can you believe the end of 2008 is already here?! Where has the time gone? We had a rough night last night. Owen woke Jerrod up in the middle of the night rummaging through the kitchen. Poor kid was looking for a cold cloth to put on his ear. His ear hurt. Jerrod got him a cold pack and he came into our bed. He was restless and crying for the longest time because his ear hurt. He finally was able to go to sleep. After a while I hear a thud. Owen fell out of the bed. So of course this wakes him up and he is upset about his ear again. The poor guy - he was hurting so much he couldn't sleep. He was still whimpering when Jerrod's alarm clock went of at 7 am. I called the doctor's office and they were able to get him in. Jerrod ran home and took him. He did have an ear infection. They gave him some motrin and some numbing drops at the office and gave him a prescription. He was feeling really well by the time he came home.

We went to church in the evening. We stayed afterwards for some food and fellowship. We had a very nice time visiting and hanging out. The kids had a fun time running wild! Owen wanted to be by me or Jerrod most of the time, so I think he was starting to not feel so well again. We went home around 10. Now Jerrod had hoped to trick the kids with the Times Square New Year, so the kids could go to bed at 11! But I had promised Logan he could stay up until midnight - or moonlight as he called it.

Treyton was another story. He was getting to be quite cranky! So he wasn't going to make it until midnight! We had to get his pictures in early. He swiped my camera at one point! I wonder if he's going to be like his mommy!

I bought these little poppers for the kids to enjoy. Since Treyton was going to bed we popped them early! Logan and Owen were so excited about the "fireworks." Logan said, "This is the best New Year's ever!!" Owen then replied, "This is the best day ever!"
